Dr Craig Harris is a specialist Colorectal Surgeon with a special interest in minimally invasive colorectal surgery. His surgical training was completed in South East Queensland at the Royal Brisbane & Women’s Hospital and affiliated hospitals. Subspecialty colorectal surgery training was then undertaken with national and international fellowships at Christchurch Hospital New Zealand, Concord Hospital Sydney, and Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney.
Dr Harris performs all aspects of colorectal surgery. He has a particular interest in laparoscopic and robotic surgery, inflammatory bowel disease and benign anorectal disorders. He has published and presented internationally on pelvic exenteration surgery outcomes for recurrent rectal cancer and is one of only a handful of surgeons in Australia performing pelvic exenterations.
Dr Harris is accredited to perform colonoscopy and upper endoscopy, and is a member of the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ).
