Dr David Burgess is a Cardiologist and Visiting Medical Officer at Norwest Private Hospital.
Dr Burgess is Head of Cardiology, Director of Interventional Services and Director of Cardiology Training at Blacktown Hospital.
Dr Burgess completed College of Physicians training at Royal North Shore Hospital then the John Hunter Hospital. He then was awarded a Cardiac Society Research scholarship to commence his PhD at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre into improving outcomes for patients undergoing complex cardiology procedures. After successfully gaining his PhD and Masters in Public Health from Sydney University he returned to clinical work at Westmead Hospital completing a Postgraduate fellowship in coronary artery intervention. After this he has worked at Blacktown, Norwest and Westmead hospitals he has also worked as a senior lecture at Western Sydney University in cardiology.
Dr Burgess focuses on improving outcomes for all patients with a cardiology issue across the area. He sees patients at Specialist Services in Norwest Medical Centre and Grafton Street, Blacktown.
