Dr Nagaratnam graduated in Medicine from the University of Newcastle, Australia with Distinction and the Faculty of Health and Medicine Medal in 2016. He did his internal medical training at Concord Hospital. His advanced training in Neurology was at Gosford and Westmead Hospitals. He underwent further training in Movement Disorders, as a Movement Disorders Fellow at Westmead Hospital, obtaining extensive experience in the use of botulinum toxin, advanced therapies for Parkinson’s disease and other movement disorders. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2024.
He is currently undertaking further research through a PhD degree to optimise deep brain stimulation for tremor and Parkinson’s disease. He practices as a General Neurologist with a special interest in Movement disorders, including Parkinson’s Disease, tremor and dystonia. He is currently a VMO Neurologist at Westmead Private Hospital and Gosford Hospital.
