Dr Omar Adham

Dr Adham, a specialist obstetrician and gynaecologist, is best known to his patients for his friendly, down to earth, practical approach. He combines compassion and respect with the highest quality holistic care.

Dr Adham is also an advanced laparoscopic surgeon, skilled in treating endometriosis and prolapse with modern, minimally invasive surgery. He is passionate about giving his patients current treatment options and empowering them with knowledge and peach of mind.

Training and Philosophy:
Dr Adham - or Omar, as he prefers to be called - grew up in New Zealand with his brother and four sisters. He obtained his general obstetrics and gynaecology training in Auckland, where he worked at Middlemore Hospital, the largest women's health hospital in the Southern Hemisphere. There, he gained extensive experience in the management of high-risk pregnancies as well as complex gynaecological conditions.

In 2008, Omar moved to Sydney, where, at the renowned St Vincent's Hospital, he completed 12 months training in advanced laparoscopic surgery and Urogynaecology (treatment of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence).

Over the years, Omar has lived and worked in various parts of the world. He's seen women and families through great challenges and triumphs and has developed a deep respect for the dignity of every patient. .

In 2010 Omar established his Canberra ob-gyn private practice, Complete Women's Health. His easy going, empathetic nature and woman-centred philosophy puts patients at ease as soon as they meet him.

"My mission is to care for the mind, the body and the spirit of each patient', Omar says. He offers patients the full range of treatments, as available, tailoring options to each individual. If they don't suit, he works to find alternatives. Omar identifies improving mental well being, not just prescribing medication or surgery as a potential part of the solution. "I strive to provide patients with all the available safe solutions to their medication conditions and help them make a well-informed decision that is in their best interest'.

Omar is available to his patients 24 hours a day. He works in both private practice and public hospital practice. He offers services in gynaecology and obstetrics. In gynaecology, Omar has specific interest and experience in:
